The recent E3 expo was virtual reality's chance to shine. The show is the gaming world's biggest event of the year, with all of the developers and hardware manufacturers showing off their latest and upcoming games and products. For VR - with the Oculus Rift and HTC Vive already available for purchase, and PlayStation VR announced during the show - this was its golden opportunity to truly capture a consumer base and establish itself as a viable and competitive gaming platform. However, aside from unveiling a few new games and hardware the show also revealed the platform's glaring weak points.
