Citi Bike is asking their riders to lend a hand - or leg - to help them fix their dock rebalancing problems.  Citi Bike bikes tend to be scarce around transit hubs while in evening hot spots such as the East Village could be full to capacity and leave users unable to find a 'park' for their bike.

The current rebalancing system for the bike docks is comprised of seven vans, three box trucks and 14 trikes that haul the bikes around the city, but unfortunately they aren't quite able to cut it.  So now, Citi Bike is offering their users free membership extensions and gift cards for the "Bike Angels" who will take bikes from full stations and drop them off at empty ones to rebalance the network.

Check it out.
