Designers at Toyota’s Calty Design Research in Newport Beach, California appear to be fans of the maker movement and have been busy creating a new small utility vehicle concept inspired by Maker Faire. The Urban Utility concept vehicle – or  U-squared was debuted at World Maker Faire in New York City this month. The vehicle is designed to meet the select needs of do-it-yourselfers and entrepreneur makers living and working in cities. Toyota developed the concept following interviews with Maker Faire participants.
